NALS
The “Rose village” Nals is not only the southernmost municipality of the Burggrafenamt, but also well known as a typical wine and an apple growing region. The village is located on the western side of the Etsch – Valley, which is named after the river Etsch. It is located 16 km south of the city of Meran and 14 km north of the city of Bozen. The central location is an ideal starting point for different excursions.
In the town there are many farms, orchards, old residences and castles. Our farm is located at about 250 meters above sea level, a bit off in the lower part of the village. However, in about 10 minutes of walk, you will find the village center with shops, bars and restaurants. -

In Nals there is a spacious sports area where you will find tennis courts, a mini golf and beach volleyball court, a playground and a public swimming pool.
Different bicycle tours start from our house. You start by bicycle directly at the court and go almost along the river.

Visit the private museum of Mr. Hansjörg Erschbamer in Nals. In his yard area, he shows the highlights of the local and European history to the visitors.
We recommend a visit to the Museum of Archaeology Bozen, there’s Ötzi, the famous mummy from the ice.
Young guests will be overwhelmed by the “Railway World” in Rabland.

In Nals there are two grocery stores, one of them only a few minutes on foot or bike away from our farm. There is a hairdresser, a beauty salon, an agribusiness and a bike shop, too. In the bike shop, you have the possibility to borrow bicycles and e-bikes. http://www.tobike-nals.it/de/
In the neighboring villages you will find many more shops, for example in the neighboring village of Lana with over 150 points of sale. Only a short distance from our farm and therefore within walking distance, there are several restaurants, pizzerias, bars, pastry shops, ice cream parlors and “Törggele” locations. In Sirmian, which is a part of Nals and lies on mountain side, you will find very good restaurants with typical, traditional cuisine.
Wine lovers will enjoy a visit to the Nalser winery offers. There you can taste a lot of wines, among others Pinot “Sirmian”, which was already awarded internationally.
